Tech Stocks Get a Bear-Market Scare. 5 Things to Know Now.

As Russian forces were pouring over the border into Ukraine, the tech sector briefly tumbled into a bear market on Thursday. Both the Nasdaq 100 and the Nasdaq Composite fell enough that morning to extend their cumulative declines from their November peaks to more than 20%. It was the first drop of that magnitude since March 2020, at the start of the pandemic.
